At an event organised in two days over 50 people turned out in Ludlow on Saturday in the pouring rain to protest at Boris Johnson (elected by less than 0.1m of Tory Members) and his cynical and dangerous attempt to prorogue Parliament for the sole reason of preventing our elected representatives, our parliament (elected by over 30m with everyone able to vote) determining the way forward on BREXIT.
There were people from The Labour Party (over 50% – thanks to all who responded to the call), Lib Dem’s, Greens and many of no party at all.
There was another demonstration and petition signing on Sunday and probably another next Saturday as parliament fights this attack on its pre-eminence in our (unwritten) constitution. Don’t get bored – this fight might go the distance. Watch this space.
